  • Upgrade, conversion, and testing of numerous databases originally developed in Access 2.0 and 97, with Word and Excel integrations, to Office XP compliance and functionality.

Subscription Order Processing Database – The Marlin Company

  • Custom integration system for use with SQL-based Great Plains Accounting Software.

  • Database allows for management of complex sales force commissioning system, order entry and processing, and scheduled automated invoicing.

  • Allows cross-platform reporting through Access/SQL integration.

  • Development Tools: Access 2000/VBA

Employee Information Tracking Database – Pfizer Pharmaceuticals

  • Database provides reporting on mail stops and other key location tracking information for in-house employees.

  • Integrated with Arrival package tracking system for Pfizer Mailroom.

  • Developed numerous reports with user managed filtering structure.

  • Performed extensive data validation and cleanup to compare several disparate data sources.

  • Replaced existing DataEase database.

Project Billing Assessment Database – Pfizer Pharmaceuticals

  • Multiple department system allowing for entry of billable items by charge account number.

  • Automated export of file format for mainframe general ledger billing system.

Sales Force Prospect Tracking Database (U.S. and International) - SpectraTech

  • Allows 12+ sales people to share information about customer leads and follow-up regarding product interest

  • Data conversion from original proprietary Macintosh TOMs database

  • Word Automation for user-modifiable invoices and customer complaints tracking

  • Customizable reports by user – system identifies user and sets defaults accordingly

  • Subsidiary database allows end users to add temporary reports/queries as needed beyond default reporting

  • International version adjusts by country for appropriate postal formatting of all addresses

  • Development Tools: Access 97/VBA, later upgraded to Access 2000, Word 2000

HR Hiring Statistics Reporting Database – Pfizer Pharmaceuticals

  • Database allows reporting of statistical analyses of hiring and prospective candidate data, against existing data structures from PeopleSoft and other existing systems.

  • Developed numerous reports with user managed filtering structure.

  • Performed extensive data validation and cleanup to compare several disparate data sources.

  • Enhanced existing information entry database for ease of use

Order Entry Systems for Multi-Company Call Center - TFS, Ltd

  • Programs allow order entry for 50+ phone reps, batching and caging for mail orders, stock availability and information searches, non-order call tracking, existing client historical review, and customer list management, customized to individual call center client needs

  • Development Tools: Access 97/VBA with FoxPro and M.O.M. integration, ActiveX controls utilized for special calendar functions and scrolling customer service rep product updates

  • Data exchanges with DNIS telephony system to associate call records with appropriate orders

  • Data export to industry-standard market research and mail file houses

  • Invoice integration with ReportWriter and custom-built Warehouse Invoicing systems

Warehouse Invoicing/Shipping System for Multi-Company Pick & Pack - TFS, Ltd

  • System provides connectivity between call center and off-site warehouse to generate daily invoices and shipping schedules.  Allows for optimized pick pattern by SKU location and “best pick” selection by warehouse floor managers for peak pack times

  • Development Tools: Access 97/VBA with FoxPro and M.O.M. ODBC connectivity, data export for use in GUPTA inventory tracking database

  • Bar code and electronic scale integration for optimal package tracking and shipping

  • Designed for use over Citrix connections in a multi-server network

Customer Complaints Tracking - MBI

  • Designed to replace old DOS FoxBase system and to accommodate changing business model.  System allows import of data from mainframe customer call tracking system and financial records to analyze types of complaints as relate to market products.  Reporting of monthly and fiscal year analysis by “Dirty Dozen” worst complaint products, Marketing Manager groups, product type classifications, and individual products

  • Development Tools: Originally designed in Access 2.0, redesigned in Access 97/VBA and updated for Y2K compliancy with SpeedFerret and FMS Total Access Suite and 2000 Analyzer, Visio

Delivery Schedule Database - MBI

  • Tracks inventory delivery from purchase order through warehousing to provide updates to mainframe for use by customer service representatives in providing accurate expected dates for product delivery

  • Development Tools: Access 97/VBA, SpeedFerret, FMS Total Access Suite

Venture Capital Reporting Database - Morgan Stanley

  • Reporting database run against proprietary VB 4.0 Venture Capital records tracking system which followed funds investments, portfolio analysis, and investor mailings

  • Development Tools: Access 2.0, upgraded to Access 97 for Y2K compliance, integrated with VB 4.0 proprietary VIEW software, Word automation for investor mailing letters

  • Developed Users’ Manual for VIEW system and associated reporting database

  • Trained end users in use of both proprietary software and general Access system use
