Okay...so below is my old email warning device...it worked pretty well.  I saw lots of hits to the page, and didn't get the junk email.  If you REALLY want to, you can go ahead and read it all...in a nicer nutshell, though, here's the abridged version:

I'd love to hear from you if you have issue, either pro or con, with the ideas put forth on this site...however, please don't take offense if I don't get back to you quickly, or even all the time, because I work too much, have too many projects going at once, and not enough time.  With that disclaimer in mind, by all means...

...tell me how ya feel!

ALERT! <<Pretentious and Arrogant e-mail Disclaimer>> ALERT!

The following is disgustingly, arrogantly pretentious on my part, and may well turn you off from getting in touch with me, but if you have something of merit to say, please don't let the following stop you:

So. You've decided to send me e-mail...

  1. First of all, thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time to send me feedback or otherwise get in touch.
  2. Secondly, please consider some of what you may have picked up about me from your travels through my pages...

3. And finally, I am an absolute incompetent when it comes to small talk, either in person or by e-mail.

Now...where am I going with all this?

Basically, I'm trying to give you advance notice that I am utterly incapable of keeping up mindless "So, what did you do today?" conversations with even half a dozen correspondents. I have a hard enough time keeping in touch with my close friends. Unless you keep up more than your share of the exchange, by sending me messages so fascinating or so controversial (yet necessarily intelligent) that I absolutely can't help but respond, after a while, I'll invariably end up sending a message that's, at best, bland and unresponsive, or at worst, (unintentionally) cold.

REMEMBER, IT'S NOT YOU and IT'S NOT PERSONAL!

Given all that...

I absolutely and completely welcome your e-mail, either in reaction to my site, in response to a controversial debate topic, to share something you think will mean something to me, or to provide me with a new challenge! If you're confident that you know what you're getting into, go for it!

This time, really...Give me attitude! Do a Dorothy! Back to Top
